I read Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy. It was very good.
It's about a girl named Alice. She's kind of the reckless type. One day, she is diagnosed with leukemia. In the year before she's scheduled to die, she makes a bucket list that includes revenge, pranks, and a few good deeds. Then Alice goes into remission. She did all those things on the list because even if she gets arrested or expelled from school, it wouldn't matter since she's about to die. But now that she's not dying anymore, she must live with the consequences.
This book is told in "Then" and "Now" chapters, and also alternates between being told from the perspective of Alice and her best friend Harvey.
I would recommend this to everyone. No warnings.
